Health Care Debaucle

This push for heath care reform that is in such a hurry doesn't make sense because the bill that is passed will not take effect until 2013. Obama wants it passed so he can move on to his next take over.
Health care accounts for 1/5 of the economy so it makes sense to pay attention to the economics of the claims. Obama wants to "save costs". however, if we study the Canadian or UK systems or ever the soviet union socialist systems some basic economic situations arrive.
There is always a cost to price. Why are the prices high and the offers low. One reason is that Competition has been restricted. That is the way of socialist government. They never look at the market, always for a government solution. Analysis of the Soviet Union economic systems show that planned economy always raises costs and cause disincentives for efficiencies in the system. What does this have to do with the US. and especially with health care. We are having issues because we interfere with the private market and competition. If we were to suddenly pass the lifting of the ban from crossing state lines the competition will increase. More products will be offered. Like Automotive insurance, higher premiums can be charged for pre-existing conditions. If we chose to not have a co-pay for wellness visits we should see a decrease in cost.
Another shot for competition is to start paying the health care outside employment. Then health care would be independent of employment and no issues with pre-existing conditions we often run into when we change jobs. We can buy health care insurance just like automotive insurance and get paid more reflective of the health care benefit.
Tort Reform is important for cost control and to eliminate the awful costs associated with lawsuits such as the lady who won a huge award for spilling hot coffee on her lap and didn't have a warning about the coffee being hot. Tort reform needs to be done but is a separate issue.
So what proposals does this conservative bring to the table.
1: Remove all restrictions on health care companies over state lines.
2: Remove restrictions to people purchasing own insurance. Encourage this behavior rather then provided by companies. The main exception to this would be Tricare for Military. This is part of the thank you we give to career military personal.
3: Tort reform to return the prudent and reasonable man. A prudent and reasonable man would know coffee is hot by definition.

We should ignore profits Profits allow the company to build reserves and encourage growth. Profits are not evil.

I have paid a great deal of attention to the health care debate in this country and am surprised that one aspect has not been voiced. I have read the constitution several times and have not yet found any evidence that there is a constitutional power given to the federal government to enact health care in any shape or from. This likely means that not only is the current health care bills currently under consideration are unconstitutional, but Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security are as well. I have several points with regard to this discussion.
1: There are 17 specific powers provided to the federal government. These include the ability to raise armed forces, regulate interstate commerce (meaning states are not allowed to raise tariffs against other states), ability to tax, and go after piracy.
2: Congress cannot go outside the constitution when it wants. It is interesting that the ACLU attacked Christianity when they want to eliminate it, but are silent about other unconstitutional activity
3: Health care, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are outside the constitution under any provision.
4: Congress blurring lines between business and government. This is called corporatism. This is a precursor to Fascism.
5: Cap and trade is a bill that pits western US with desert/sun for solar and huge hydro electric (not necessarily green but no carbon credit)
6: No Tort reform. I just read about a lady who won 2 million because a dentist removed 13 teeth when she was to remove 3. Cost to fix mistake is $88,000.00. Clear case of out of line award. This is why our costs are high. This will raise Malpractice insurance.
7: Insurance is just that. Insurance is spreading of risk. Privately, not through Government.

What is the solution. Here is my solution.
1: Privatize Social Security. Work out a way to pay back the amount owed SS by the government. Work out plans for SS to allow options of investment.
2: Privatize Medicare and Medicaid. The Government may need to support but allow private companies run it.
3: Initiate Tort Reform. This would have the effect to bring awards back in line.
4: Allow Health care insurance to be offered across state lines. This will go a long way to increasing competition and reduce cost.
5: Discuss ways to cover previous conditions. Sometimes previous conditions are covered in situations where one is moving from one company to another. So it real problem is coming from non coverage to coverage. This may not be as big a problem as thought. Has anyone thought to ask the insurance companies.
6: Cut taxes since we move the costs to private companies.
Cutting taxes may mean that we will resend the cap and tax, stimulus bills. But cutting taxes may create a full recovery.

This is my solution. It is a totally private solution and doesn't involve the government at all. After all, the government has no constitutional mandate to solve health care.
And that is that.

President Obama has really stirred the people this time. Health care bills in both the house and the senate appear to be pre-disposed toward single payer system. President Obama has stated that no one is going to force a change in your coverage and carrier. However careful reading of the bills before congress now state that you will not be able to purchase new insurance and when anything changes in the policy, you will be forced to move to the government plan.
Also, President Obama is correct that the bills do not mention Abortion. What they don't say is unless specifically excluded, any procedure will be covered. That means that every hospital will have to provide abortions to anyone who wants one. If they refuse, they will not be permitted to receive anyone under the government coverage. Since in a single payer system, the government is the only game in town, this means the hospital will either cave in or go out of business.
The figure of 45 million people who are not covered has been used by all government people who are proposing this bill. It seems to me that the issue is not necessarily a health care issue, rather it is a jobs issue. The huge loss of jobs in this country has had a huge impact on coverage as laid off people lose their health care.
So what can we do?
The republicans should next month make the following proposals.
  • Stop trying to make only one bill to fix everything
  • Remove state barriers to offering health care. Allows up to 1600 health care companies to bid for your business.
  • Tort reform to limit awards will limit excessive tests
  • Remember what insurance is: spreading risk. Encourage competition
  • With regard to pre-existing conditions: Encourage coverage with perhaps higher copay or higher cost additional coverage.
Present this as unified republicans. This will not only correct perceptions that Republications is the party of NO, but help set up wins for the republicans in the next election.

These bills must be stopped. We need to reverse the trend to Socialism and Fascism.

So Obama wants you to send disinformation emails to the white house for them to take care of. This smacks of the Nazi watchers in Germany during the Nazi regime. This is an outrage. We shouldn't allow this to happen. This is an invasion of our right to express our selves with out government interference. Further, how do they know if the information isn't accurate. They haven't read the bill in either the house or the senate. This shows how community organizers work. Protest and action is OK and approved so long as it supports what the community organizer wants, as in Acorn or SEIU. When conservatives protest, the liberals cry foul and want it stopped. Interesting isn't it.
I have been reading a book by Jonah Goldberg called Liberal Fascism. He takes us back to the beginning of the progressive movement. I have several observations about the new Obama administration in view of the history of liberal thought. If you compare the Classical Liberalism (meaning liberty and the formation of the constitution) to Progressive thought, you will notice an incompatibility between the two. Our constitution and our founding fathers envision a small federal government with the purpose to facilitate interstate commerce, protect our borders from invasion, and protect our interests internationally. All the rest of the governmental actions were to be conducted within the states or by individuals. In fact, the tenth amendment states the unless the action is specifically mentioned in the constitution, it resides in the states or individual. Progressives are opposed to individual states or personal rights or actions because they believe that the STATE (not individual states but the federal government) has the divine right to exist and the STATE is to act as a parent to a child. The individual will not know what is right for him and the state must take care. In order to do this, it means that all power must reside in the state. In the early 20Th century, Progressives, Fascists, and Communists all were still very much in vogue. Hitler and Mussolini were of like minds in so far as the all power resides in the state. In this the American Progressives were in total agreement. The Europeans had one advantage in that they didn't have the constitution to deal with. In fact the constitution has been a stumbling block all along for the progressives. The constitution provides power to the individual and the progressive/liberal wants the power focused in the government. Control is the key. March forward to now and the Obama administration. He has moved all the power away from the Cabinet positions which need senate approval to "Czars" which he appoints. Therefore the power becomes focused in the President with not check or balances. We now have over 40 Czars with power focusing more and more on the President.

This is wrong and contrary to the intent of the framers. But the liberals have been trying for the last 100 years to move away from the constitution and concentrate the power to the president. Next we will see neighbor watching neighbor. Oh, wait, we have that now as well.

We need to be careful. Very careful. The country is at stake.

Today I read in the paper a piece about Senator Kennedy and his "tireless" work for universal health care. The problem with this is the assumption that health care is a right. When Senator Kennedy states that the Citizens of the United States have a right to Health Care provided by the government he is assuming rights and powers not given in the constitution. I have read both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the US and cannot find anywhere any explicit declaration of Federal right to health care. The closest I have found is the unalienable rights as Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. All these rights revolve around the idea that the individual is responsible for his activities. He has the right to pursue happiness, not the absolute right to happiness. He has the right to his life and liberty, not to be infringed by the Government. In other words the government cannot dictate to the individual unless and except where specifically stated in the constitution.
The founding fathers believed strongly in individual and states rights. They wanted a government that intruded as little as possible in the daily lives of the citizens. We now have a group of individuals who do not believe this. They have reversed the roles and now believe the government is responsible for all citizens for everything, and the individual citizen has the right that the government will take care of them. Of course, some one will need to make the important decisions and that is the Liberal Progressive who has only the people at heart.
The problem with this belief is that it violates not only the spirit of the law, but the words of the law. We have a judicial system that places itself above congress. We have a congress that believes that the Federal Government has a maternal right to take care of the poor citizens. Of course the successful will need to be taxed to do this.
We have a situation where the current administration wants the 5% most richest to care for the 95% who are "owed" this care.
The bills before congress are placing the force of law to this idea. The Federal government will force the whole US onto the single payer system and not only reduce coverage for all, but specifically almost eliminate access to specialist for the elderly. President Obama has stated that no one is forcing anyone to change their coverage. This is true - but only true during the grace period. After the grace period is over, all will be forced to move to son of Medicare. And we will not like the coverage. We will then have a coverage system just like Canada and UK. And their long care coverage is not good.

This is just one area that the liberals have assumed powers that don't exist in the Government. Read the constitution and look where Education is a power given to the Federals. It isn't. The supreme court issued a ruling that provided the power. Not congress, the supreme court. More on this later.

We need to be careful, we need to be very careful. The left wing extremists are our in droves spreading misinformation and deflection. They are putting ads on TV that are making it appear that the benevolent government, who is just looking out for you, wants to step in and save you money, that it wants to put the big bad wolfs in sheep clothing corporations out of business. It turns out though that the big bad wolf in sheep clothing corporations are really left wing supporters and the bills in congress are really designed to keep them in business. This is really the fascist way. They love business as long as they get to control it. What they really don't like is small business which they really can't control. They attempt it by minimum wage. Michigan Democrats for example want to raise the minimum wage to $10.00 per hour. That would put small business's in Michigan out of business, the ones that survived the recession. What a plan. A State that has the highest unemployment in the nation wants to raise minimum wage to the point that it will force more unemployment. Small business owners employ the majority of people in the US. Further, it is in the minority groups that stand to be hurt the worse by unemployment when small business gets hurt. Unemployment over all is 9.5%. Unemployment in Michigan is 17%, unemployment among teenagers is 25%. Unemployment among Black youth is as high as 45%. It seems to be that we need to do everything in our power to encourage small business, that we need to get out of the way and let the economy truly recover and make this country strong. Instead we want to become a nanny state with costs out of control and poor service in everything. Obama's plan, rather then helping the country, will seek to destroy it. The economy will recover, indeed it already has started, not I think to anything the government has done. It is recovering in spite of the government. The recovery however will be slow, painful and weak. I fear inflation, high deficits, and the government sapping the GNP when we need the money in business hands to fund the recovery. Remember this next year during House and Senate elections. Vote out the left Wing extremists. Replace them with right wing Extremists who will look out for the individuals, and build a strong America again.
VOTE.

What is it about health care. Why are the Democrats so interested in forcing us onto the Canadian or European plans that do not work. We know the care is rationed in Canada. We know there are committees in England that make decisions as to who gets what care. Is this what we want. Why is Obama trying so hard to have government control everything? I believe it is because he and other liberal Democrats that only they and the national government. As Obama stated himself, he is seeking to redistribute wealth, not create it. I am not sure if they are all that interested in growing the economy. I think they are more interested in expanding Government control over the means of production and finance. So far they have been successful. They know, it seems that they only have a limited time to make all this happen before there is an election. This may be the reason they are forcing bills through with no time for anyone to read them.
Now is the time to stop this madness. Some Democrats are beginning to have second thoughts and they are listening to the voters who very much want things to change - like tax reductions, cutting the government budget rather then expanding spending. It is ludicrus to believe that by spending larges sums of money, the economy will recover. This way comes inflation, economic slow down. The liberals point to the New Deal as the means to pull us out of the depression (yes, I believe we are in a depression). Roosevelt didn't take us out of the depression, he exported it to Europe and The Far East by war. The war actually put people to work in business, not government programs. We should do the following:
1: Kill the spending now. Only about 10-20% of the stimulas bill has been spent.
2: Cut taxes now. This will put money in people's pockets.
3: Begin national debate on National VAT or flat tax. But eliminate Tax code as we know it.
4: Eliminate Corporate Taxes. Removal of taxes on corporations will result in lower prices and make our goods more affordable internationally. It will also provide an incentive to companies to start manufacturing hard goods here again.

Forget Green, lets work on rust again.

This week I read an op-ed piece by Tim Rutten. I found this article to so full of misinformation and incorrect facts that pin all the issues with socialism and fascism with the Republicans and right wing proponents. Tim Rutten has pinned on the right wing the following:
1: Racism and Slavery in the south
2: White supremacy
3: Fascism
4: "right wing shadow movement
5: Anti-Semitism

In fact, all these despicable beliefs and actions can be traced to Democratic and left wing beliefs. Fascism and Socialism are progressive and liberal ideals. Neo-Nazi are Fascist with control over the Government and control of the means of production.

Republicans and Conservatives are proponents of individual rights. As a result, there is no room for racism, antsemitism, or white supremacy movements. In fact, these movements violate individual rights.

We should protest vigorously any attempt to place Fascism with right wing. Progressives are actually fascist. Fascism is a belief that Government should control the means of production to further the state of the "people". There is no room in this ideal for the individual right. Conservatives

Tim Rutten and people like him need to be accurate in their reporting. All the wrongs Tim Rutten in his 6/16/09 Op Ed piece are actually Progressive and Socialist ideals.
This is the great con of the Liberals. All their bad sides they are assigning to the right wing.
This is wrong, this is a lie, and this need to be brought to light

Saturday, May 16, 2009

Apparently the liberals in congress are so intent on destroying the Republican party that they finally overstepped their bounds. The Speaker in her intent to remove herself from the enhanced interrogation techniques has now accused the CIA of lying. That in itself is a very stupid move. But now she it trying to cut such a fine line that she is now trying to differentiate between being informed of water-boarding that already had happened and water-boarding that will happen. What is so disingenuous about her whole arguement is that in either case, she didn't protest the treatment. We know she is not shy about protesting to the White House about activities she doens't like so saying she is powerless is not a valid arguement. The Speaker is showing partisonship so strongly that she is exhibiting poor judgement. It is one thing to dislike or like the President's politics or party affiliation, it a another think entirely to cause the US and it's fighting solders harm by placing politics ahead of the US protection both at home and abroad. The Speaker should drop out of sight for a little while and let the "Truth Commission" effort die in the house. Otherwise she may find herself in front of a commission and under oath. Not only is her Speakership on the line, her position in the House as a representive may be in danger as well.

Republicans-The party of No.
Democrats have labeled the Republicans as the party of No, as opposed to the Democrats as the party of yes. Our current problems are due in part to the Democrats saying yes. The Democrats have a near obsession to spending money. The Republicans are correct in saying no to the obsessive spending. The democrats are saying that spending will pull the US out of the Recession. However, as the Republicans state, you cannot spend yourself out of a recession. With the levels of spending, the Democrats will be ultimately faced with inflation, and runaway entitlement spending not any good way to control spending - except to say NO.
The Democrats have said that the Republicans are a party of No as a means to cast them in a bad light. Instead, the Republicans should take on the name and use it. I believe that if the Republicans start ads showing the No as a good thing. The Republicans can take the work "No" and launch an add campaign and really turn around the party. Ultimately the Republicans need to launch a groundswell of support for NO. They need to build on the success of the Tea Parties. And make no mistake, the Tea Parties were successful. Just consider how strongly the Democrats tried to dismiss the parties as not relevant and tried to dismiss them.
Republicans - the party of NO! You bet! No to government control over industry, no to government control over financial industry, No to excessive Government spending, No to increase of taxes, and finally, no to saddling our children with unsupportable inflation and Debt.

I just returned from a Boy Scout Camporee. This is a campout with troops from one or more districts. Observing these young men learning what it means to be Scouts, learning outdoor skills and most importantly, learning leadership skills makes me realize that our most important resource is our youth. I think we are in a battle for the minds of our youth. The liberals are trying to steal their minds by controlling the schools. That is the reason they dislike private schools because they cannot control them. Another area the liberals are attacking is private charitable organizations. The Liberal Democrats are trying to eliminate the charitable deduction and placing government controls on all charities on the basis that all Charities need to obey the government rules about discrimination on the basis of race, creed and religion. And most importantly, sex and orientation. This way, they can force Religious organization to accept gays and lesbians. This will violate the 1st Amendment but that does not seem to stop Democrats today.
I am not sure where this will stop but Republicans need to really begin to start fighting for each house and senate seat to regain the majority.
We must all speak up.

Today Chrysler went Bankrupt. GM is not far behind. As I recall, when we the people (the Federal Government) loaded the money to GM and Chrysler, we were to be paid back before anyone else. Apparently everyone has forgotten the initial bailout. Our Government needs to get out of the economy. It's job is to keep the peace between the states, engage in foreign affairs and presenting the US to other countries. We are not to engage in control of the economy. It will run itself if we only let it. Barny Frank and the House Banking Committee decided to involve itself in the housing, and look what that did. Now the Car Manufacturers are out of business because no one wants to buy the cars the Federal Government is forcing the manufacturers are making. And it will be more of the same. What is going to happen to the economy next. We haven't seen the melt down of credit companies and the commercial Real Estate yet. This could further impact the economy and prevent the recovery until later 2010. If that happens, we may see a ground swell of resentment and the Republicans could be swept back into office. My hope is they remain true to their conservative roots.

I am trying to understand why we are accepting the statements from the left that Right leaning people are by definition racist, sexist, and fascist. All of this doesn't make sense. The KKK members were to a man, Democrats. The Politicians who were to a man against Civil Rights, Democrats. The Progressives and Fascists in the early 20th century, Democrats. One of the most racist presidents was Woodrow Wilson. The armed forces prior to his presidency was integrated. He segregated the army. He also fired all black people from the White House. He is said to say that he never ever wanted to see black people. He firmly believed that anyone not white was less then human and therefore needed to be controlled. He was a democrat.
It was Republicans that passed the 13, 14, and 15th constitution amendments. Democrats fought them tooth and nail. Republicans were lynched, arrested for trumped up charges and run out of town and states. All civil rights legislation over the years have all been initiated by Republicans. The 1964 civil rights bill was initiated by the Republicans. Lyndon Johnson received credit only because he signed the bill. Through out history, it is apparent that the more conservative a person would be, the less likely the person will be racist. In fact, Republican party planks as early as Lincoln were anti slavery, pro equal rights, pro suffrage, and small government and individual rights. Any Democrat expressing right wing racism, and the KKK with Republicans are either showing extreme ignorance or deception.
I believe that the Democrat party is on of elitist racism and believes that the common man must be controlled. That is why they consistently advocate greater government control, reduction of state rights and advocate stronger federal government. That is also why the Democrats are trying so hard to move to a trans-internationalism so they can get around the pesky provisions in the bill of rights especially the 1 and 2 amendment. If they can, they can remove religion and advocate worship of the state (Fascism), and removal of Gun rights. The 2nd amendment was placed there not to advocate hunting but to have an armed public in order to provide a constraint on the Government. We often think that the balance of power is between the three branches of the Government. In fact I believe the 2nd amendment shows that the actual balance of power was 5 ways. We have a balance between the three branches (Judicial, Legislative, and Executive. The other 2 ways belong to the people, elective and ultimately, the power to replace the government should it become necessary.
On a scale between Left and right, we all accept that the Communist belong on the far left. They believe in total state control and ownership of all means of production. Fascism, or Progressivism, didn't hold the state needed ownership of the means of production, but rather only control. The far left today believe this is needed. Secretary Clinton has actually stated she was a Progressive Liberal Democrat. The Right or Republican view in contrast, believed in as little government as possible. Strong individual rights were very important. This is why Republicans as a group tend to not be racist. This would interfere with individual rights. To be racist would require control. This is the belief of the left, not right.

I was going to post about the issues at home with the excess spending that will surely send us into out of control borrowing and resulting inflation. However, I heard about the situation in Pakistan. The Taliban has now focused on Pakistan rather then Afghanistan.
This is very serious because Pakistan is a nation that has nuclear weapons. The Taliban has not shown itself to be a responsible or reasonable nation. I don't think they would be able to do any additional science due to their beliefs, but they might show an inclination toward using the weapons against Israel or against the United States. I think Israel will not allow the Taliban reduce Israel to ashes so we have a strong possibility of an escalation of war. This would cause an emergency situation where Israel will make strike first before the Taliban could destroy Israel. President Obama would have trouble preventing Israel from striking in their best interest.

My fear is that Obama ran and won on a domestic issues and he is a progressive socialist and fascist in thinking. One major misunderstanding is that Fascism is right wing. Lenin named Fascism right wing, which make sense as everything is right wing to communism. All socialist believe that a large government is necessary to take care of the people.

I feel that the issues in the Middle east is so critical that we need to make sure that the Taliban do not take Pakistan. Obama needs to pay attention to the situation and make sure we show power. The Taliban will never negotiate or listen to anyone in a weak position. Obama has put the United Stated in a weak position.

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

I haven't posted for a while. I have been watching the direction of this new administration to discover if Obama is really a progressive liberal or more center as originally thought. After just a few weeks it is apparent that Obama is trying to get his entire agenda as soon as possible. At least as long he has a super majority or close to a super majority.
1: Domestic Policy reminds one of progressive liberalism or Fascism as was known in the 1920's. Ultimately the whole argument boils down to control. Conservative thought is that the control by the federal government should be kept at the minimum. Commerce between the states, and protection from foreign threats are the job of federal government according to the constitution. Liberal thought is that the government should take care of the people and protect them from themselves. This means the government will need to be larger to fulfill this need.

I believe that from the beginning the government's job was to stay out of the way of the individual. this means that the control belongs in the individual not government. I have the right to do what I want, where I want, and with whom I want. Liberals view the role of the government is to "take care of the people" leaving the individual out of the picture. As individuals we loose our rights and freedoms.

2: Foreign Policy is where the liberals show extreme weakness. Carter destroyed our military, Clinton destroyed our military, and now Obama is in process of destroying our military. In an ever increasing dangerous world, reducing our military standing is a dangerous

I believe that we need to make sure our military is stronger than anyone else so as to allow us to negotiate with strength.

Saturday, March 14, 2009

We are truly moving down the path of socialism. I really do not think Obama really cares that we are in a depression or very deep recession as much as he cares to move this country as far left as he can. He is following the religion of Socialism when he believes that government is the answer to everything. He wants Government control of the financial markets, total lifetime health care, control over all aspects of our lives. And oh by the way, he will raise taxes on only the very richest of us.
The trouble with this is that 50% of the people who earn over $250,000 are business owners that use their money to create the jobs. How can anyone think that by taking the very people that create jobs will create jobs. Crazy. I just read a book by Steve Forbes that discuss flat tax. It is apparent that most of the world is moving to that. It is also apparent that most of the world is moving away from centralized health care. Why?
I think it is because it doesn't work. It didn't work in the '30's in the Great Depreasion. It didn't work in the 70's, 80's 90's and it isn't working now. It seems that every time we have a down bump in the ecomomy the socialist want to increase government spending and raise taxes. Shouldn't we lower taxes so business has more money to create jobs? Why are we so against business and people getting rich. If we didn't have rich people, who would invest in the business to increase jobs. Not the government. They think providing money to government departments will create jobs. Obama was fond of saying that he will create the jobs. Government doesn't create anything, business does. It is time governement realizes it's work is to maintain the health of business, not kill it.
The good news is the stimulas package will not realy incur serious spending untill 2011 or beyond. We have time to elect strong consertive lawmakers who can bring sense to this can create an environment where business can flourish.
Until the next election, signing off.

Tuesday, February 10, 2009

I am stunned. I can put it no other way. A spending bill that was billed as a bill that would save the country. And is set to move our country into a depression. And further, three republicans voted for it, thereby removing any ability for the Republican party to do anything in the next two years. The Demoncrats will now be able to run any program they want without any checks or balances. I know that the HR1 will now go back to conference and have the differences resolved. But the Republican party, including the 3 sell outs, will be banned from the closed door meetings. The President now has his entire agenda accomplished in 2 weeks. What is he going to do for the next 4 years.

The Republican party needs to do several things.
1: Focus on the conservative agenda.
Smaller government,
Remove Federal Government from States Business (IE education)
Reduce Federal Taxes on Individuals and Corporations
Make sure we have a very strong Military - strongest of all nations.
2: Start with grass roots.
Identify races to remove congressmen and senators that are democrat.
Identify races to save any Republican (except PA and ME)
3: Start rebuilding the local party.
4: Keep message in front of the People.
5: Work on Latina and African American in convincing them that their best hope is republican for making their lives better

We need to revolutionize the Education system. Convince everyone that being conservative is not a crime.

Most of all restore religion to its rightful place. Today the Liberals are trying to make sure Religion is kept behind locked doors, not on public property.

The next two years may tell us where we will be the rest of this decade and next. Republicans need to make sure to stand up and state their case.

Thursday, January 22, 2009

Well I just finished reading "Liberal Fascism" by Jonah Goldberg. What a book! I am captivated by the depth of research and information. He traced Liberalism back to the French Revolution and explained why the Liberals are so bent on removing religion from everywhere. It isn't the constitution they are concerned about, but rather making the state a religion in and of itself. They want to replace Christianity. They want the state (federal government) to be everything and control us, similar to the Sweden of today. Or more closely the Fascist government of Italy or the Nazi government before the revelation of the depth of depraved Racism we saw at the end of WWII. Interestingly, the Liberals are actually more racist then conservatives. I am sure the Liberals will deny all hint of racism but the evidence was made clear in Goldberg's book. In looking back I can see evidence of it my self. In addition, listening to President Obama's speech, I heard catch phrases that indicate a left leaning presidency.

OK. that is old news. Conservatives were already aware of this. It seems to me that we need to be back on point, and return to our core values and really begin to make it known.
We stand for less government, less invasion in our privacy and ownership. We stand for less interference in business and need to stand aside for new small business to get started. We need to remove roadblocks, regulations, and high entrance costs for new business to get started. We need to be careful about driving small business out of business due to regulation. Less Taxes, and return Federal government to what is federal. And education is a state responsibility, not federal. Close down the department of education.

OK, it's been a while since I posted. Most of my time has been spent doing research with regard liberalism and conservatism and have discovered some very important and interesting aspects. Conservative thought goes back to the founding fathers fear of government and their desire to minimize government and celebrate the individual. Our founding fathers wanted a government that didn't get in the way of the individual to make a living and do well on their own without the government imposing roadblocks and rules that makes it difficult.

Liberals on the other hand believe in the state as the means for the people to succeed. They focus less on the individual then on the "people". Taking the liberal movement back to the source leads us to socialism, communism, fascism that abounded during the early 19th century. From Wilson, FDR, down to LBJ, to Clinton, the central theme was the government, most especially the federal government had a responsibility to take care of the people. Example of this in the extreme is the experiment in Sweden where there is cradle to grave care by the government. The trouble is that this care places huge budget strains and causes Sweden to have the highest tax rates ever. I have heard of cases where people ended up owing more than they made if they made enough money. This kills innovation. Listening to President elect Obama speak about redistribution of wealth from the rich to the poor, it is disturbing. The solution is not to redistribute wealth, but to create new wealth. This can be done through education. Not the kind of education the liberals are espousing but real education in science, engineering, trades such as welding, electrical, etc.
More later on this. The biggest danger to the liberal belief in the power of the state to take care of everything. This belief almost borders on religion. Going back to the earliest stages of Liberalism, this belief in the state caused the liberals to hate Christianity. It is my belief that Christianity empowers the individual and places in the church the powers the Liberals believe belongs to the "people" or in other words state. That could also be the move of the liberals to place more power in the federal government rather then states or communities and cities. More later.
Thanks

It has been a while since my last post. I have been researching and reading books.  I have read both Sean Hannity's books and am starting Major Garrett's book The Enduring Revolution.  I have also read The ACLU VS America by Alan Sears and Craig Osten.  I have reached a conclusion that the more liberal a person is, the more secular they are also.  I know that Sean's partner Alan Colmes would disagree but it does appear that the Democratic Party has become more radicalized and they are going out of their way to make it appear they are the norm and the Republicans are the radical religious right.  Some observations:
1: The establishment clause has become the means the ACLU has used to remove and traditional values associated with Christianity.  However, it only means the US cannot establish a state religion,  it even goes on to allow free exercise of religion.  The ACLU has been active in banning the free exercise when it attempts to ban even greeting in the name of Christ.
2: I think the Department of Education should be reduced in size to be only a think tank. And remove the influence of the NEA from an organization of teachers to a PAC.  We really need to get a handle on our schools. Stop teaching tolerance for Gay groups (since they are only about 1% of the population and we never found a gay gene so it isn't something you are born with) and sex education.  Start teaching good solid civics, math, science, English and reading.  Note I said English.  That is our language,  not something brought over by illegal aliens.  That leads me to my next statement.
3: We should start teaching intelligent design as a viable theory. I am really getting sick of ID being banned on the basis of the establishment when it has become more viable than Evolution. Since the universe has been discovered to be expanding at an increasing rate, we cannot say the universe is static.  Since it is expanding, that means it originated from a single point (IE Big Bang).  The universe is also much younger that the Evolutionist want us to believe.  Read Lee Strobel's The Case for a Creator.  And check his sources.  That makes it more believable.
4: If we are say we are conservative, then do it.  We should be
  • Cutting taxes rather than stimulus packages
  • Using existing tools to handle problem companies (Chapter 11)
  • Reduce the size of the government.  We can accomplish more with less easily.
5: Lets recognize what the federal government is for.
  • Foreign Affairs.  This is really what the President is supposed to be really doing.
  • Defence.  The President is the Commander in Chief. That means his has a duty to maintain a strong navy and army to prevent violations on our soil.
  • Deal with interstate commerce.
What the federal government is not is supreme in everything.  Note that if something isn't mentioned in the US constitution, then is belongs to the states.

I really think we Republicans and conservatives need to focus and stay on message.
