It has been a while since my last post. I have been researching and reading books.  I have read both Sean Hannity's books and am starting Major Garrett's book The Enduring Revolution.  I have also read The ACLU VS America by Alan Sears and Craig Osten.  I have reached a conclusion that the more liberal a person is, the more secular they are also.  I know that Sean's partner Alan Colmes would disagree but it does appear that the Democratic Party has become more radicalized and they are going out of their way to make it appear they are the norm and the Republicans are the radical religious right.  Some observations:
1: The establishment clause has become the means the ACLU has used to remove and traditional values associated with Christianity.  However, it only means the US cannot establish a state religion,  it even goes on to allow free exercise of religion.  The ACLU has been active in banning the free exercise when it attempts to ban even greeting in the name of Christ.
2: I think the Department of Education should be reduced in size to be only a think tank. And remove the influence of the NEA from an organization of teachers to a PAC.  We really need to get a handle on our schools. Stop teaching tolerance for Gay groups (since they are only about 1% of the population and we never found a gay gene so it isn't something you are born with) and sex education.  Start teaching good solid civics, math, science, English and reading.  Note I said English.  That is our language,  not something brought over by illegal aliens.  That leads me to my next statement.
3: We should start teaching intelligent design as a viable theory. I am really getting sick of ID being banned on the basis of the establishment when it has become more viable than Evolution. Since the universe has been discovered to be expanding at an increasing rate, we cannot say the universe is static.  Since it is expanding, that means it originated from a single point (IE Big Bang).  The universe is also much younger that the Evolutionist want us to believe.  Read Lee Strobel's The Case for a Creator.  And check his sources.  That makes it more believable.
4: If we are say we are conservative, then do it.  We should be
  • Cutting taxes rather than stimulus packages
  • Using existing tools to handle problem companies (Chapter 11)
  • Reduce the size of the government.  We can accomplish more with less easily.
5: Lets recognize what the federal government is for.
  • Foreign Affairs.  This is really what the President is supposed to be really doing.
  • Defence.  The President is the Commander in Chief. That means his has a duty to maintain a strong navy and army to prevent violations on our soil.
  • Deal with interstate commerce.
What the federal government is not is supreme in everything.  Note that if something isn't mentioned in the US constitution, then is belongs to the states.

I really think we Republicans and conservatives need to focus and stay on message.
